Join us in Old Saybrook as we join the nation and the state in celebrating the 250^th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Our roster of events, beginning with the lighting of the Heroes Tree at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 5:00 pm, will kick off eight months of activities sponsored by many town departments and organizations including: Acton Public Library, Old Saybrook Historical Society, Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, Parks & Recreation Department, Old Saybrook Garden Club and Economic Development Department. From tree plantings to 18^th century chocolate making to guest speakers and a performance by the US Coast Guard Band, you’re sure to find something of interest to you during this season of celebration!
